Help celebrate Earth Day in our community by participating in the Rapid City Earth Day Trail Challenge!
April 22 - June 30, 2024
*The Earth Day Trail Challenge sign at Hansen-Larson Memorial Park (“M Hill”) is currently missing and will be reposted soon!
SD GFP has been made aware of this situation and you can complete the Trail Challenge with only 2 selfies from the trails at Skyline Wilderness Area and Outdoor Campus West until the sign at Hansen-Larson Memorial Park gets reposted.
To complete the trail challenge:
Hike each of the trails listed below.
At some point along each trail, you will find a Rapid City Earth Day Trail Challenge sign - take your photo with it!
Take a bag with you and pick up any litter or garbage you find while out hiking.
After you hike all 3 trails, show your selfies and pick up your Rapid City Earth Day Trail Challenge pin at SD Game, Fish, and Parks Outdoor Campus West (4130 Adventure Trail) during normal business hours.
*Please be mindful of trail conditions at all times and stay off trails when wet/muddy to prevent damage.
